In your profile on WhatsApp, your phone number is displayed and you can enter a name and other info. It is also possible to upload a profile picture. The picture is then displayed in a circle and is visible in every chat. If you click on the image, it will be displayed in full screen, i.e. square.

1. To ensure that your profile picture also comes into its own, you must pay attention to the size.
2. The image is always displayed square in full screen mode, with the minimum size of the image being 192x192 pixels.
3. In addition, the desired image should not be larger than 640x640 pixels. If the image is larger, it is automatically reduced by WhatsApp.
4. You can crop the image in WhatsApp before uploading. However, a blurred edge may then arise.
5. It makes sense to crop the image to the correct size with a suitable app beforehand and then upload it to WhatsApp as a profile picture.
