Excel: 3D chart - how to illustrate your data

With Microsoft's Excel spreadsheet program, you can not only perform calculations. You can also use more complicated functions to create 3D charts, for example. With a 3D chart you can present a table even more clearly.

How to create a 3D chart in Excel

If you want to create a 3D chart in Excel, the easiest way to do it is through the interface. It is best if you have already arranged the required values in a table in Excel. For a 3D chart, at least three columns with values are suitable here.
  1. Mark the table with whose values you want to create a 3D chart. To do this, click the mouse on the top left cell and drag the mouse over the table while holding down the left mouse button.
  2. Now click on the "Insert" tab at the very top. Here you will see the option column "Charts" in the middle.
  3. Click on the small gray arrow at the bottom right of the charts column and select "Column" in the left column in the window that now opens.
  4. Here you can now choose between 2D and 3D charts in the top bar.
  5. If you want to use a different chart, you can always open another type in the left column. Sind Sie fertig mit der Auswahl, klicken Sie einfach auf „OK“ und das Diagramm wird erstellt.
  6. Möchten Sie das Diagrammdesign ändern, geht dies am besten über die Diagrammeinstellungen.
