How to send live photos? How it works

If your iPhone model supports taking Live Photos, you can create short, moving photo sequences. If you want to share created Live Photos with your friends afterwards, this is only possible under certain conditions. Which these are and how you send the photos, read here.

Send Live Photos: These are the requirements

Whether you take a normal photo or a Live Photo with your iPhone, you have the option to share the created image with others. However, in order to send a Live Photo to friends or relatives, some requirements must be met. For example, the recipient of the live image must also have an iPhone or iPad and use at least iOS 9 as the operating system.

How to send a live photo

If the requirements for sharing a live photo are met, you can send it in different ways. The fastest way to share a Live Photo is via the iPhone's or iPad's Photos app.

1. To do this, first open the Photos app on the iPhone and navigate to "Albums" > "Media Types".
2. Tap the "Live Photos" option there and select the Live Photo you want to send to open it.
3. Haben Sie das Foto geöffnet, tippen Sie anschließend unten links auf das „Teilen-Symbol“ und wählen Sie einen Empfänger aus, dem Sie das Live Foto über die Nachrichten-App schicken möchten.
4. Alternativ ist das Teilen eines Live Fotos zwar auch per E-Mail möglich, allerdings wird dann nur ein Standbild des Live Fotos verschickt.
