Monster Hunter: All the info on the upcoming feature film - with date

The Monster Hunter franchise has been around for many years, but only became known to a global audience through World. That notoriety is now culminating in a film adaptation, with a release date already set.

Monster Hunter on the big screen: the film adaptation appeals primarily to gamers of the series.

Monster Hunter's home is Japan, but the franchise is also very popular in Germany thanks to Monster Hunter World.

Monster Hunter: Theatrical Film Coming to Germany in Early December

The film will go by the name Monster Hunter, as it does not refer to any specific part of the series. Nevertheless, World players should see many familiar monsters.

• Monster Hunter is coming to German cinemas on December 3, 2020. Pandemic-related changes are of course not completely excluded.
• It is - in keeping with the games - an action film.
• In the lead role is Milla Jovovich to see. Directed by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson.
• Tony Jaa is "The Hunter" and the Admiral is played by Hollywood star Ron Perlman. The full cast is here at IMDb.
• The plot is not too complicated: A troop of soldiers suddenly finds itself in an unknown world after a sandstorm and is confronted with monsters there. These must be fought consequently.

In the official trailer, two very familiar creatures are already shown, namely Diablos and Rathalos. Both are fan favorites; the more exciting is the question of which monsters have also made it into the script. The cult monster Nergigante leads the wish list of the community, also Bazelgeuse is often mentioned.
