Alexa remote control - how the control works

To control your Alexa-enabled devices via remote control, Amazon has developed its own Alexa voice remote. This can be used with the Fire TV Stick and the Echo Dot, among others. You can find out what functions the remote has and how to pair it here.

How to use the Alexa voice remote

If you have an Amazon Fire TV Stick, it also comes with an Alexa remote. This allows you to easily control your Fire TV by voice. To do this, press the Alexa button on the remote and give the voice assistant a command. In addition to being able to use Alexa to search for specific movies and series, you can also start, pause, or stop video and music playback using voice commands.

How to pair the Alexa remote with your Echo Dot speaker

In addition to using the Alexa remote with the Fire TV, you can also pair it with an Echo Dot. To do this, open the Alexa app on your Android smartphone or iPhone and navigate to "Settings" > "Devices" in the menu.

1. Select your Echo Dot there and start the connection wizard by tapping on the "Connect device remote" entry.
