Office 365 basically consists of three different parts: an online service, a web application and a software subscription. Here, you have the ability to use Office online from anywhere and access all stored data in the Microsoft Cloud. But what exactly has changed about the previous service?

1. With Office 365, a distinction must be made between two usage variants: personal or private use and business use. Accordingly, different subscriptions exist.
2. With a Home (private) subscription, Office was allowed to be installed on only ten devices and used on five at the same time.
3. Microsoft changed this rule in August 2018. Now, up to six people are allowed to use the Office version at the same time - and completely without changing the price of the subscription, which continues to cost 99 euros per month.
4. There have also been some changes to Office Personal. For example, you can now log in on up to five devices and no longer just three.
5. Every user with their own Microsoft account has 1 TB of cloud storage at OneDrive.
