Unselecting Photoshop: step by step
A selection in Photoshop is an area of an image that you define. The area within the selection can be modified or copied or deleted. To continue editing the entire image, you must deselect the selection you created.
How to create and deselect
You create a selection using one of the selection tools from the toolbar or a selection command box. A selection boundary surrounds the selection. Within the selection, you can modify, copy, cut, or delete pixels. From a selection you create a new layer with the key combination "Ctrl + J".If you want to edit the areas outside the selection, this is only possible when you deselect it. To do this, go to "Selection > Deselect" or press the key combination Ctrl + D.Photoshop contains several selection tools for different types of selection areas. You can use the selection rectangle to create rectangular or square selection areas. To select an area with similar colors, click the Magic Wand in the photo. Use the Lasso tool to create more extensive selection areas.Selecting areas and deselecting using commands
