Anthem 2.0: When will it be released? We have the answer

Since Anthem's release in 2019, the game has caused many worry lines at Bioware. Big plans to finally put the shooter on the road to success as version 2.0 have now come to an end.

But no Anthem 2.0: Circumstances led to a difficult decision.

Originally, Anthem was supposed to become one of the big names in the genre of online shooters, even a runtime of ten years was planned. In the meantime, however, the reality looks different.

Anthem 2.0: Release canceled - that's the situation

For a long time, fans were still allowed to hope that everything would finally turn out well with Anthem 2.0. However, there is bad news:

• In February 2021, Bioware announced via blog post that Anthem 2.0 will not be released at all. Work on the improved version was stopped.
• One reason for this is the changed working conditions as a result of the pandemic. The impact on productivity prevented Anthem 2.0 could be advanced as planned.
• Therefore, Bioware has decided to focus existing resources on the two franchises Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

Nevertheless, Anthem will remain playable for the foreseeable future - so those who like the shooter do not have to stop playing it, however, there will be no more fundamental renovation.
