Discord: Overlay explained - how to use the feature

Thanks to Overlay you have access to various functions of Discord while playing. Our guide explains the feature and shows you how to adjust the settings.

Always at hand: the Discord overlay appears in the middle of the game at the touch of a button.

How handy an overlay can be has already been known since the Steam feature of the same name. Since Discord is also used by millions of players, it's good to have the same option there.

All settings for the overlay can be found the following way:

1. Open the "User Settings" by clicking on the gear next to your profile name at the bottom left.
2. Select "Overlay".

There you will see at the very top the most important option at first, namely the key combination to call up the overlay. If you are not satisfied with the default, simply enter your own combination.Also handy is the position of the overlay, which you can specify below. You can choose between the four corners of the screen. The ideal choice also depends on the game, depending on how the UI elements are positioned.
