Discord: Enable screen sharing - how it works

It is important to know that screen sharing does not work in Discord channels, but only in chats. This can be both individual chats and group chats with a maximum of nine people.

1. Click on the camera icon ("Start video call") at the top of the chat window.
2. Then the button for screen sharing comes into play: with this you can specify which screen content you want to share, such as only the browser, another application or the entire desktop.
3. Confirm the sharing with "Share".
4. If you want to end the screen sharing again, simply click on the screen sharing button again and select the option "Stop screen transfer".

Once you have given the screen sharing, the chat participants will see your selected content. This is convenient for many purposes, for example, for watching YouTube videos together, for photos or games.It should be noted that video calls (just like voice calls) are only possible between friendly users.
