iPhone X: Family Sharing - how to use the feature
On iPhone X, Family Sharing gives you the ability to share photos, your iTunes purchases, your Apple Music subscription, but also your iCloud storage with other family members. For this to work, however, you first need to set up the feature on iPhone X.
iPhone X: Family sharing has this feature
Family sharing allows you to share various Apple services with up to six family members. When Family Sharing is enabled, it allows everyone in a family group to share an iCloud storage plan, an Apple Music or Apple News+ subscription, and to share purchases from iTunes or Apple Books. To use Family Sharing on your iPhone X, you'll need at least iOS 8, an Apple ID, and an account with iCloud or iTunes. Once the requirements are met, please navigate to "Settings" > "[your name]" on your iPhone X and tap "Set up family sharing".- After clicking "Let's go", you will be guided through the family sharing setup and asked to choose a feature you want to share with your family.
- In the next step, under "Settings" > "[Your Name]" > "Family Sharing", please tap "Add Family Member" and enter the family member's name or email address to send them an invitation.
- Once your family members have accepted the invitation, you will see this under the person's name.
- After the family members have joined the family group, you can specify other features you would like to share. These will then be automatically set up on all devices.
