How to open the browser on the PS4

If you own a PlayStation 4, you can use it not only to play various video games, but also to surf the Internet with the console. For this, you need the browser of the console, which can be accessed from the menu of the PS4.

1. Please start your PlayStation 4 first and wait until the user interface appears.
2. In the start menu, then navigate to the browser icon and open the PS4 browser by pressing the triangle button on your controller.
3. You will then be taken to the browser's address bar, where you can enter the address of a website.
4. Alternatively, you will find an overview of your most recently visited pages in the center, or you can enter a search term in the field on the right.

This is how you operate the PS4 browser with the controller

If you do not have your PlayStation 4 connected to a keyboard, the controller is required to use the browser. To move forward or back one page, press either the L1 or R1 buttons. If you have multiple browser windows open, switching between them is possible by pressing L2 or R2. You can also open a new window with the R2 key. If, on the other hand, you would like to close the current window, hold down the circle key of the controller for a few seconds.
