How can I change the WLAN on Alexa?

With Amazon's Alexa voice assistant, you can control various applications with a voice command. Alexa can even help you with purchases in conjunction with a Prime account. However, you need a constant Internet connection for this. If you would like to change the WLAN, then that is also possible.

How to change Alexa's WLAN

If you would like to use all of Alexa's functions, then you will need an Internet connection. When setting up your Amazon Echo, you usually already set a WLAN. You can then find out the current weather or make purchases via your Amazon Prime membership. However, if you want to change your WLAN, this is possible via the free Alexa app.
  1. If you haven't already done so, download the Alexa app from an app store of your choice and install it. The app is usually already used when setting up the assistant.
  2. First you need to start the app and then select your Amazon Echo from the list.
  3. Select the "Change" button and then click on "WLAN".
  4. Here you can now select the option "Connect to WLAN".
  5. The Amazon Echo should now glow orange. Enter a new WLAN within the app and connect to it. Hierfür benötigen Sie den Namen und das Passwort für das Netzwerk.
  6. Alexa verbindet sich anschließend mit dem neuen WLAN.
