There are many new features in the second chapter of Raft. The metal detector is also one of them.

Raft: Metal detector allows titanium excavation

To the metal detector here the most important info:

• You get the blueprint for the metal detector when playing through Caravan Island.
• Per light-emitting diodes in the colors red, yellow and green, the detector shows you how far you are from a buried find.
• If all the diodes light up green, dig at this point with the shovel.
• You get items of different quality, for example, scrap, planks and plastic, but also metal or copper. Even titanium ore is possible - a little luck provided.

Since titanium ore is necessary for many new end-game items such as the water tank, the metal detector is especially useful for the search for titanium.
