Firefox: Change language - how to do it

Many applications and games are usually available in multiple languages. Even with Firefox, you have a choice of over 90 language packs to choose from. So if you feel the need to brush up your language skills, why not download a new language pack.

How to get new language packs for Firefox

Switching the browser to an appropriate language is not particularly difficult. However, in order to see the user interface in the other language as well, you need to make a few settings.

1. Open Firefox and go to the Firefox add-ons language packs web page. Here you can download all the languages as needed.
2. Select a language pack by clicking on the link.
3. On the next page, click "Add to Firefox" to have the pack downloaded. You will still be asked by Firefox to confirm the installation afterwards.
4. If you cannot install a language pack, switch to the FAQ section or write to support.
5. To continue managing your language packs now, click on the menu button marked by three lines stacked on top of each other.
6. Finally, click on Add-ons. Hier sehen Sie alle Erweiterungen, die Sie installiert haben.

Benutzeroberfläche anpassen

1. Um die Benutzeroberfläche ebenfalls in der entsprechenden Sprache anzeigen zu lassen, müssen Sie interne Einstellungen abändern.
2. Gehen Sie hierfür auf „Allgemein“ und anschließend auf „Sprache“.
3. Wählen Sie „Deutsch“ aus, um die Sprache festzulegen.
