Star Citizen: How the Crime Stat works - all info

Also in space there are laws. However, that does not mean that all players abide by them. For this reason, the so-called Crime Stat exists in Star Citizen and our guide has all the info on it.

Criminal astronauts? In Star Citizen, this has long been a reality thanks to Crime Stat.

Wrong parking is not welcomed in Star Citizen, because this already increases your Crime Stat.

Star Citizen: Crime Stat depends on the severity of the offense

Your Crime Stat can be seen on the start page of your mobiGlas ("F1") in the left area under "Personal Details":
  • If you have not attracted negative attention, you are at level zero.
  • If you commit an offense, you collect penalty points, a maximum of level 5 is possible. The offenses start with trifles such as unauthorized landings and extend to real crimes such as killing peaceful NPCs.
  • At a high level you get many problems. For example, you can no longer approach official posts without being shot at. Fines and imprisonment are also possible.
  • To underpin your reputation as an outlaw, you can illegally reset your Crime Stat. To do this, you need to hack the terminal at the Security Post Kareah.
  • The legal way, you do not have to do anything except wait and do not commit new offenses. Your Crime Stat will drop as a result until it eventually reaches zero, though you can't speed up this process.
The Crime Stat is intended to ensure that groups of outlaws are also created in Star Citizen in the long run, which should enrich the PVP dynamics of the game. Whether smuggler, contract killer or pirate, the range of activities thereby grows massively.
