Cancel Free Press - how to end your subscription

If you have a subscription to Freie Presse magazine and no longer wish to use it, you can cancel it. In order for the cancellation to go smoothly, it is important that you follow the formalities and deadlines. If you don't, you may end up with an unwanted contract extension.

What you need to pay attention to when canceling

If you would like to cancel your newspaper subscription to Freie Presse, there are a few things to keep in mind.

1. Your cancellation must be in writing; verbal cancellation is not recognized.
2. Depending on the type of contract, the cancellation periods differ. If you have an open-ended contract, you must terminate no later than six weeks to the end of a quarter. For fixed-term contracts, the deadline is six weeks before the end of the contract.
