With the Media Markt mobile plan, you get a SIM card that you insert into your smartphone. Before you can start making calls and surfing the web, however, you have to activate the card. This can be done conveniently via the customer center.

How to activate your SIM card

You can activate your Media Markt SIM card conveniently from home. Follow these steps:

1. Open your browser and go to the Media Markt website.
2. Click on "Tarifwelt" in the navigation.
3. Scroll down to the footer of the page and select the item "Activation page" in the category "Service".
4. Enter your order number and the last four digits of the SIM card number.
5. Finally click on "Activate SIM card now".

The activation of the Media Markt SIM card usually takes place within three hours after you have registered the card. In exceptional cases, however, the activation may take up to 24 hours. In order for your smartphone to connect to the new mobile network, you must restart the device once.
