You can take better photos and gain new perspectives with a tripod. You don't have to buy an expensive tripod to do this. You can already build a simple tripod with everyday materials.

Build a tripod with a paper cup

1. Place a paper cup on the table in front of you with the opening facing down.
2. Cut two notches in the bottom. These should be opposite each other and wide enough for your iPhone X to fit in.
3. Push the iPhone X into the notches.

Build a tripod with a piece of cardboard

1. Take a playing card, a business card, or another piece of cardboard.
2. Fold the paper in half.
