iCloud reset - these steps are necessary

When passing on your Apple device, it is necessary to delete all data. However, you should not do this manually, because synchronization with iCloud can cause your data to be removed on other devices as well. In this case, it is advisable to reset the connections to iCloud first.

How to reset your iCloud

The iCloud itself cannot be completely reset. However, it is possible to erase your data and remove the connections to your device. This is especially necessary if you want to delete the information from your smartphone and then sell it.

1. First, log out of iCloud via "Settings" on all devices.
2. After that, remove all devices that are connected to iCloud. You can do this from any Apple device. On the PC, go to "iCloud.com" via your browser. Log in with your data and select "Account Details" > "Manage Apple ID".
3. Now you can select the individual devices and click "Remove from Account".
4. Followed by clean up the memory of your iCloud. To do this, log in to iCloud again and select "iCloud Drive".
5. Now select your documents and data and click Delete.
