If technical errors occur or you want to sell the device, it is necessary to reset it to factory settings. The procedure depends on the model used. Here, the buttons to be pressed usually differ.- If you own an Echo speaker of the first generation, you must first remove a plate on the underside of the device. Here you will find a reset button. Press it to reset the speaker. In the same way, you will also reset the first-generation Echo Plus.
- For a third-generation Echo Dot, Echo Sub, and Echo Input, it is necessary to press the action button for at least 25 seconds.
- If you have an Echo Dot or a second-generation Echo, you need to press both the "Microphone Off" and "Volume Down" buttons at the same time.
- You can reset the second-generation Echo-Plus to factory defaults by pressing and holding the "Volume up" and "Mute" buttons for about 20 seconds.
