Threema: Mute group - how to stop spam

The Threema app lets you secure your chats using end-to-end encryption. Threema uses QR codes to ensure you're messaging with a trusted counterpart. If you want to mute groups, you can do so individually on Android; on iOS, you have to disable all groups.

How to mute groups: iOS

How to mute a group in Threema depends on which operating system you are currently on. On iOS, you can mute via two ways.

1. Open the Threema app and tap on the "Settings" category in the bottom left corner.
2. Now go on to "Notifications". You will find the "Group Notifications" option with a green switch next to it. Tap the switch to disable the beach directions.
3. Now all groups are muted. Disabling individual group notifications is not yet possible.
4. Alternatively, go to the settings of iOS and tap there on "Threema". Hier gehen Sie nun auf „Benachrichtigungen“ und deaktivieren die Benachrichtigungs-Optionen, die Sie nicht mehr erhalten möchten.

Threema-Gruppen bei Android stummschalten

1. Unter Android können Sie einzelne Benachrichtigungen deaktivieren.
2. Gehen Sie dazu einfach auf den Chat, bei dem Sie keine Benachrichtigungen mehr erhalten wollen und klicken Sie oben auf das Glocken-Symbol.
3. Sie können den Chat für immer stummschalten oder eine begrenzte Zeitangabe tätigen.
