Threema: Leave group chat - how to exit

Threema is a chat app with a high level of security. At the highest security level, both chat partners can only communicate with each other after scanning a QR code. Do you already use Threema and want to leave a group? That's easy via "Edit group".

This is how you exit a group chat on Threema

In Threema, you can open various group chats. Chats are encrypted using end-to-end encryption. A group can consist of up to 100 participants. The exit function is the same for all groups.

1. In the main window of Threema, press the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner. Now you should see a menu.
2. Here you will see the option "My groups". Click on it.
3. In the list with groups, now select the group chat you want to leave.
4. Touch the name of the group to get the group options displayed.
5. Now you can select the entry "Leave group".
6. Still click on "OK" to confirm when the question appears if you want to leave the group.

You can also delete a group. This will make you leave it automatically. If you are the administrator, the chat can also afterwards no longer be used by the other members.
