Does Valorant need a client? All info about installation

Valorant is free, released in early June 2020 and comes from Riot Games - these are enough reasons to make the shooter the summer hit of this year. If you're interested, here's everything you need to know about installation and more.

Simple and spontaneous: Valorant installs quickly and doesn't require a client.

Valorant incorporates elements of hits like Counter-Strike and Overwatch, but keeps some aspects deliberately simple. This is already evident during installation.

Valorant: No client needed - just install the game

To play Valorant, no client is needed. Quite classically, you install the game directly on your hard drive:
  1. For this, you need a Riot account. You already have this if you have already played another Riot title (like League of Legends). Otherwise, go here to create.
  2. After that, you will get to the "Download" button on the page and click on it.
  3. Follow the steps until the installation is complete.
With about 3.9 GB Valorant takes pleasantly little space on the hard drive. So depending on your bandwidth, you can already start in a few minutes and get to know the basics in the tutorial.
