Can Alexa control Bluetooth devices? It's possible

When you buy an Amazon Echo, you automatically get the Alexa voice assistant included. With the help of appropriate voice commands, you can then control various applications. Via Bluetooth, you also have the option of connecting other devices, such as speakers, to Alexa.

How to control Bluetooth devices with Alexa

With the Alexa voice assistant, you can control more than just apps. If you have paired a Bluetooth device with your smartphone or an Amazon Echo, you can also control it via voice commands at any time. To connect the two devices, they must be at least one meter apart. Also note that you can only connect one Bluetooth device to your Echo at a time. In addition, the speaker should be compatible with Alexa. You can already read this in the description of the device before buying.
  1. Follow the instructions in the user manual of your Bluetooth device to activate the pairing mode.
  2. Then go to the Alexa app on your smartphone and select the icon with the house there.
  3. Click on your device and then on "Bluetooth devices" and then on "Pair a new device".
  4. Now you will see a list of available Bluetooth devices. Wählen Sie hier das richtige Gerät aus.
  5. Sobald Sie Ihr Gerät ausgewählt haben, wird dieses mit dem Echo gekoppelt und Sie können bestimmte Funktionen über Alexa beziehungsweise über Sprachbefehle steuern.
