This is how your data should be protected:- Email method: This method is the most commonly used. This is because it is very straightforward and does not require any additional work for the provider. After your registration, you will receive an email with a link. This is valid for a limited time. By clicking on the link, you declare that you would like to open the account.
- Post-Ident procedure: In this process, you must go to a branch of Deutsche Post with proof of your identity and a printout from the provider. You show a postal worker your ID card, your driver's license or a valid passport. Following this, the QR code on the printout is scanned and the official confirms your identity. After that, your printout is considered opened.
- Video verification: Here, you join a meeting with an employee of the provider. This you show via camera a proof of identity. The employee matches the identity document with your person.
- Sending a verification: You send a digital copy of an identity document via a secure digital channel or upload it in an appropriate section.
