Android 9: Change design - this possibility exists

In different Android versions you have the possibility to change the design of the operating system according to your wishes. Here, the software already offers you various solutions. Alternatively, you can also use an app with a different Android launcher to customize the design.

How to change the design on Android 9

Since the release of the latest Android operating system, there are more options to customize the design of the software. With Android 9 Pie, the desire for a Dark Mode was also fulfilled.

1. To set the Dark Mode, go to "Settings" > "Display". Now click on "Advanced" > "Devices Theme". Here you can now choose between "Automatic", "Light" and "Dark". Click on the latter to apply the Dark Mode on your smartphone.
2. In addition, you can also under the new operating system, as with previous versions, download various designs from the Internet and apply them to your smartphone. However, this is only possible for a period of 14 days for free designs. After that, the default design restores itself automatically. This mainly affects Samsung devices. However, this trial period does not apply to paid designs.
3. Another way to change the design of your smartphone is to use a different Android launcher. Laden Sie sich hierfür beispielsweise den Nova Launcher aus dem Google Play Store herunter. Anschließend können Sie einige Design-Elemente Ihres Betriebssystems über die App anpassen.
