Correct Dictionary: How to change word suggestions in Android

When you write something on your tablet or smartphone, you don't have to write out all the words in full. Your Android operating system will make word suggestions as you type to save you time typing. However, sometimes these word suggestions are simply not appropriate or incorrect. You can correct such suggestions in a few steps.

How to correct dictionary suggestions

You can add words to the dictionary on your Android device, delete entries, and also modify individual entries. Thus, you can enter personal words that the system does not know, such as names or abbreviations. Also, incorrect corrections, which can be particularly annoying, will then no longer occur. These quickly occur when you accidentally misspell a word several times. Android remembers these words and automatically adds them to your texts and messages.To add words to the dictionary:

1. Open an app that allows you to write something.
2. Tap on a text input field so that the keyboard appears.
3. Write the word you want to add to the dictionary.
4. Tap then on the word you just wrote.
5. Select "Add to dictionary".
