How to find the special characters

Special characters are important to use search engines properly or even to be able to write documents.

1. When you are working with Word, you can click on the "Insert" tab. There you will find a tab named "Symbols". As soon as you click on it, an overview of the standardized symbols will open. If the desired element is not available, then click on "More symbols". Once you find the character, click on it and it will appear in the text.
2. To use a special character in Google, click on the shift key "FN". Now you can use the special characters.
3. On your smartphone or tablet, you need to press the shift key below the keyboard and you will get an overview of the possible symbols.

How to expand your options

It can happen that a specific special character is not stored. In this case, you should install an appropriate extension for Word or an app to get access to the desired special characters.
