Samsung Galaxy S10 Hard Reset - how to delete all data

In smartphones, we talk about a hard and a soft reset. In the soft reset, the working memory is emptied and the smartphone is started. Thus, minor errors of programs can be corrected. In the hard reset, on the other hand, all data is deleted and the phone is reset to factory settings.

How to perform a hard reset on the Samsung Galaxy S10?

To reset the phone to factory settings, there are two ways. One is via the settings when the Samsung Galaxy S10 is on, and the other is via the recovery mode. The second way also works if the phone has a boot up error.
  1. Go to Settings and then continue to "Backup & Reset".
  2. Tap "Backup" > "Automatically restore" > "Erase SD card". Attention, this will delete all data from your SD card and can not be restored.
  3. Now just click on "Reset to factory settings" and confirm the process with "Reset device".
  4. Start the recovery mode by pressing and holding the "Volume up" "Power" and "Bixby" buttons simultaneously.
