Galaxy Z Fold 2: Suppress phone number - this is how it works

If you want to call someone and don't want them to see your phone number, then you can easily turn this off on the Galaxy Z Fold 2. In doing so, you have the option to decide whether the suppression should only be used once or permanently.

Galaxy Z Fold 2- how to suppress your phone number

Using a SIM card in your Galaxy Z Fold 2 allows you to both make and receive calls. When doing so, the phone number is normally displayed to the person you are talking to. If the other party has already saved your number in their contacts, your name will also be displayed when you make a call. If you do not want the phone number and thus your name to be displayed, then this can be easily turned off.
  1. To do this, first open the phone app of your Galaxy Z Fold 2 and go to the keyboard there.
  2. To have access to more options, now select the icon located at the top right of the screen with the three dots lying on top of each other.
  3. Now navigate to the option "Settings" and click on it.
  4. Then press the sub-item "Additional Services" and select the item "Show Caller ID" there.
  5. From the menu that now appears, you can choose between "Network Default", "Hide Number" and "Show Number". Select "Hide number" so that your phone number should be suppressed in the future. Möchten Sie den Vorgang später wieder rückgängig machen, dann gehen Sie auf die gleiche Weise vor und betätigen abschließend den Punkt „Nummer anzeigen“.
