Apple HomePod: Adjust volume

The HomePod from Apple is controlled via the Siri voice assistant. With different voice commands that you speak in through the app, you have the ability to control applications through the speaker. You can also make custom settings to adjust the volume.

How to adjust the volume of your HomePod

You can adjust the settings for the HomePod either directly on the device, through the app or via a voice command. Changing the volume is also no exception. If the HomePod is near you, you change the volume via the "+" and "-" switches on the device. However, the voice assistant Siri can also help you with this task.
  1. First ask Siri via the command "Hey Siri, what volume is this?". This will help you find out what the volume is at the moment and how much it needs to be increased or decreased.
  2. If you want to change the volume via a voice command, say "Hey Siri, turn it down please" or "Hey Siri, turn it up please" respectively.
  3. Alternatively, you can specify in your command exactly by what percentage the volume should be changed. For example, say "Hey Siri, set the volume to 50 percent".
  4. Another option is to specify in the command by how many percent the volume should be changed. Hierfür müssen Sie sagen „Hey Siri, erhöhe Lautstärke um 25 Prozent“.
