In times of data protection you may not want to reveal your phone number to everyone. For this reason, you can apply a shortcut on your smartphone to suppress your phone number once or even permanently.

There are basically three ways to suppress your phone number. So you can suppress your phone number on the one hand once and on the other hand permanently. In addition, your number can also be suppressed only for certain contacts. To avoid having to go through the settings every time, you can find special shortcuts for this.

• To suppress your phone number permanently, navigate to the dial field on your smartphone and enter "*31#" there. After that, go to "Call." If you want to reverse the permanent suppression of your phone number, proceed in the same way and enter only the combination "#31#".
• For the one-time suppression of your phone number, you also open the dial field of your smartphone and enter there the sequence "#31#". Then append the desired phone number and then go to "Call". Thus, this contact will be contacted with a suppressed phone number.
• If a particular contact should always be called with a suppressed phone number, you can also use a simple method to not always have to enter the whole column of numbers. Simply save the number of the particular contact in your phonebook preceded by "#31#" sequence, so that every time you call, your number will automatically be suppressed.
