Word: Grouping images - how it works
In Word it is possible to group images or other objects. Grouping images is especially useful in this regard to make formatting the files faster. You can find out how to group your images and how to ungroup them here.
Grouping images in Word: These are the requirements
Grouping images in Word is useful to help you format them. If all the images belong to a certain group, changes to the formatting are automatically applied to all the images in the group and no longer need to be adjusted individually. Before you group your images, however, it is necessary that you prepare them. It is especially important that you change the wrap format of the images from "With text in line", to another format. To do this, please navigate to "Format" or "Layout" and select the option "Text wrap" under "Arrange".Word: How to group the images in a document
To create a new grouping in Word in the next step, please select the first image. Then hold down the "Ctrl" key and also select all the other images you want to group together.- After selecting the image, please go to the "Image Tools" section and click the "Group" option under "Arrange".
- Alternatively, you can also right-click to open the context menu and select the "Group" option there.
- If you want to ungroup later, you must first select the corresponding image group.
- Then navigate to the "Image Tools" area again, click the arrow next to "Group" under "Format" and select "Ungroup".
