Rotate inserted images in Word - simply explained

Word is probably one of the most popular Office programs. Microsoft's effort to keep it that way is accordingly great. Word not only allows you to compose text, but also to insert images into your text. Sometimes it is necessary to rotate these images. But how do you turn this on?

How can you rotate images in Word?

In Word you can also insert images between your text. It doesn't matter if the text should be around the outside, above or below. Of course, you can still rotate the image after inserting it.
  1. Right-click the image you want to rotate.
  2. In the menu that has now opened, click on the small dropdown icon in the upper right corner, namely on the arrow next to the two triangles and the arrow.
  3. Here you can now rotate the image ninety degrees to the right or left. You can also tilt the image. Press "More rotation options" to rotate the image to a specific angle.
In Word, you also have the option to scale an image. To do this, again right-click on the image and select "Resize". Now a frame with eight small dots should appear around the image. By moving the dots, you can resize the image to your liking.
