There are several options to resize photos if you are unhappy with how iOS scales your wallpaper. The resolution and format are important for this. If the resolution of the photo is too high for the wallpaper, iOS will simply crop away the edges. However, if the format, i.e. the ratio of the side lengths of your photo is not correct, then iOS will distort your photo.On the PC, you can use an image editing program such as Paint, GIMP or alternatives to reduce the size of photos. If you don't know the resolution of your iPhone background, then you can take a screenshot on iPhone and transfer this image to PC. This way you will have a template for the size you want to reduce your photo to.- Photo is cropped: If the photo you want to use as wallpaper is cropped, then you can scale it smaller.
