MacBook: take screenshots - it's that easy

Taking screenshots allows you to digitally photograph the current content on your screen and prepare it as an image file. This makes it possible to quickly save something specific and possibly send it to a friend. A screenshot can also help with error messages or small sections on the screen.

Taking MacBook screenshots: These options are available

A screenshot can be created in a variety of ways. Usually, a simple key combination is sufficient to create a screenshot.
  1. First, navigate to the location on your screen that you would like to save.
  2. Now briefly hold down the [SHIFT] + [CMD] + [3] keys simultaneously so that a screenshot of the entire screen is created.
  3. Screenshots are automatically saved on the desktop or under the images and have a very specific format in the naming.

How it works with the tool

  1. Not always you want to photograph the entire screen. In some situations, confidential content can be seen, which is irrelevant to the actual purpose of the screenshot.
  2. Now briefly hold down the [SHIFT] + [CMD] + [4] keys at the same time and release the keys again.
  3. Nun können Sie die linke Maustaste gedrückt halten und einen Bereich aufziehen, der für den Screenshot beachtet werden soll.
  4. Sobald Sie die Maustaste loslassen, wird automatisch ein Screenshot erstellt.
