Zoom without installation - how it works

The popular tool for video calls is used by more and more people worldwide. While installing Zoom is not difficult, you can still join a meeting simply through the browser. In this case, you don't necessarily need to download the Zoom app. We explain how to use Zoom in the browser.

How to use Zoom without installation

The free downloadable Zoom application is not mandatory for use.

1. To join a Zoom meeting in your browser, click on the invitation link sent to you.
2. Now you will be prompted to install the program or app. You simply decline these pop-ups.
3. Now Zoom asks again if you want to open the app, which you decline again.
4. After that, the option "Join via your browser" appears. Now click on this link and then enter your name.
5. Finally, you agree to the terms of use and will then be redirected directly to the meeting.
