Opera: Set up home page - how to get organized

If you want to set Opera as your default browser, you can set up the home page. This will allow you to access your favorite sites and necessary information faster.

How to set up Opera's home page

Setting up the home page is very easy to do. For this, you just need to think about what will benefit you the most.
  1. Open the Opera browser and then press the Opera icon. You will see a list from which you select "Settings".
  2. You will now see an overview from which you click "On startup". Now you will see a box with choices.
  3. Use the option "Open a specific page or pages". Press "Set pages".
  4. You will now see a text box next to the "Add new page" option. Enter the address there that you want as your home page.
  5. Confirm your entry with Enter and the page will appear as tiles on your Opera home screen.
  6. You can repeat this process as many times as you like. Opera will create a tile each time, which you can find on the home screen.
  7. Once you are satisfied, finish the process. For this, you just need to click "Ok", and Opera will save your preferences.

Which selection is useful?

It is helpful if you create tiles for all the pages you need to access quickly. At the same time, you should make sure that the information is not too private. Therefore, you should stay away from references to banking institutions or similar information. This way you protect your privacy from third parties.
