As publisher EA has confirmed, Battlefield 6 will also be developed by DICE. It is thus the twelfth Battlefield part of the developer studio.

Battlefield 6: Some facts, many assumptions and speculations

The state of affairs can currently be summarized as follows:

• On the release date is only known that the game will probably appear in 2021.
• After Battlefield in the past has taken place in older eras, the sixth part will include a modern setting. However, more details about this is not yet known.
• It is also unclear so far whether there will also be a solo campaign. The focus of shooters is finally for years on the multiplayer action. However, the campaign of the last Call of Duty Modern Warfare was extremely well received - this response could possibly have an impact on the development of Battlefield 6.
