If you have a Netflix account, then you can use it abroad as well.

• You could use Netflix abroad, but then had to follow the offer of the respective country - regardless of the fact that your Netflix account was registered in Germany.
• Since the Netflix assortments are not the same depending on the country, many users at home started series could not continue watching abroad.
• Meanwhile, you only need an Internet connection and a supported device.
• Now you will be shown the same content, audio and subtitle options as in Germany. However, there is a limit for this.
• This feature does not apply if you are outside the EU or are abroad for an extended period of time.

So it is no longer important where you are, but where your account is registered. Incidentally, the change affects not only Netflix, but virtually all streaming services. Responsible for the new regulation is namely a decision of the European Parliament together with the EU Commission and the EU states.
