How to check the warranty status of the iPhone X

In addition to the statutory warranty, which applies in Germany, Apple also grants its customers a one-year manufacturer warranty. If a defect occurs on your iPhone X during the duration of the manufacturer's warranty, you can submit the device to Apple for repair free of charge. There are two ways to find out whether the manufacturer warranty is still valid for your iPhone X.

1. If you have installed at least iOS 12.2 on your iPhone X, you can check the warranty status via the settings menu of the device. To do so, navigate to "General" > "Info" in the settings and search for the serial number. If the warranty is still valid, you will find an entry about its expiration date here.
2. Alternatively, you can also check the warranty period on the Apple support page. To do this, simply enter the serial number of your iPhone X in the corresponding field and confirm with "Next".

Directly with the purchase of the iPhone X or up to 60 days later, Apple also offers you the opportunity to purchase an Apple Care contract for your device to be entitled to services even after the one-year warranty. If you have purchased an Apple Care contract, you will receive hardware and software support for two years. In addition, up to two repairs are also covered by Apple Care, for which only a service fee of 29 euros or 99 euros is due.
