Log out of Chrome account - how it works

Using Google's browser, you can easily log out your account from Chrome. You can still browse and access all websites without any problems. Only Google services may require a login.

With Google Chrome, you can log in and out with just a few clicks.

There are many advantages to using Chrome with your account. For example, you will find many other personalized features in addition to your favorites. But if you want to sign out of your Google account in Chrome, that's no problem either.

How to sign out of your Chrome account

Signing out of your account in Chrome is easy:
  1. Open Chrome and click on your account icon at the top right of the address bar.
  2. If you have deactivated the synchronization of your data, you can click "Sign out" directly here.
  3. Otherwise, click "Synchronization is activated". This will take you to the settings. Click "Disable" here and you will be automatically logged out. In addition, the synchronization of your content is stopped.
Thereupon, you are no longer logged into Chrome. Of course, you can still use the Google browser, but there will be no more synchronization with your Google account. Should you want to sign in again, you will find you option exactly where you also signed out.

Sign out on all devices

Sometimes it is convenient to sign out remotely from all devices. This is accomplished like this:
  1. First, launch Chrome on your computer.
  2. Then, open this Google website and remove permissions from Chrome.
This will log you out of Chrome everywhere.
