Netflix: All info on the new WhatsApp interface

Those who don't want to watch Netflix alone will in future have the opportunity to create joint movie nights online via WhatsApp. Our guide introduces the new feature.

Online streaming with chat: Netflix and WhatsApp are now compatible.

Netflix has permanently changed the entertainment landscape, WhatsApp has taken communication in new directions. The connection of the two services is therefore highly interesting.

Netflix and WhatsApp: Joint online sessions now possible

To connect the two apps, you should know the following:

• The feature has now been officially launched and is initially running with some restrictions: The feature is only available for iOS, plus only trailers can be watched together in WhatsApp.
• In the future, that could change: The joint enjoyment of entire movies and series is at least conceivable one day, even if this has not been officially confirmed.
• Both users must be logged into Netflix on their devices to see the content. Free use is thus not possible.
• Since the Netflix content is shown in WhatsApp in picture-in-picture mode, users can chat with each other meanwhile.

iOS devices have access to the feature as of now, provided both apps are up to date.
