Silencing Samsung Note 10 - how to do it

To temporarily not be disturbed by ringtones or system sounds, the Samsung Note 10 has several settings to mute the device. You can mute the entire smartphone system or just individual applications. We explain all the options.

How to mute the Samsung Note 10

To not be disturbed by incoming calls, messages or system sounds, simply set your Samsung Note 10 to mute. This is easily done via the device's Settings app by going to "Sounds and Vibration" and selecting Silent mode as the sound mode.
  1. Once you have set your device to silent in this way, all ringtones as well as system sounds and vibration alerts will be turned off.
  2. To turn off only the sound and continue to use the vibration alarm, select the option "Vibration mode off" instead.
  3. If you want to undo the muting of the Samsung Note 10, simply switch back to the sound mode under "Settings" > "Sounds and vibration".
  4. In addition, you have the option in the tones and vibration menu to make further settings and, for example, change the ringtone or vibration pattern or adjust the volume of the device.

Samsung Note 10: Mute only notification sounds

Alternatively to the complete muting of the Samsung Note 10, you also have the option to adjust only the notification settings of the phone. To make this change, please go to "Settings" > "Notifications" and select "Do Not Disturb" to mute all incoming calls, notification sounds and media, such as videos or music.
