MHW Iceborne: Brace Claw Explained - How to Use It Properly
The introduction of the Brace Claw was probably the biggest innovation Iceborne brought to Monster Hunter World. Our guide explains what the tool does and how to use it.
Projectiles such as lightning capsules can be fired by all classes since Iceborne, even with the weapon drawn. This changes the drama in combat quite dramatically - thanks to the clamp claw.Clamp claw as a central combat feature of Iceborne
The clamp claw has several purposes. To do this, you must first pull yourself up to the monster so that you are clinging to it. Then you have these options:- With a normal attack, you inflict manageable damage, but weaken the affected body part in return. This is subsequently much more vulnerable, which is good, for example, to break horns or cut off the tail.
- If you have picked up slingshot ammunition, you can discharge it directly at the monster (recoil shot / Flinch Shot). The monster will be sent by the impact in the direction in which it is currently looking. If there is a wall there, the monster suffers considerable damage. In addition, it goes thereby to the ground, so that a strong attack possibility arises.
- Before the shot, you can even change the direction. This is convenient to turn the monster so that it looks at a wall.
- It is only possible if the monster is not angry at the moment. The normal attack, however, always works.
