Deleting data from iCloud - this is how everything ends up in the trash

With Apple's iCloud, you can centrally store data from all your Apple devices and sync it with other devices. You can also share photos or videos with your friends or family. However, you should delete data that doesn't belong in the cloud.

How to delete data from iCloud?

Data stored in iCloud is stored on a server of Apple. You are relatively safe there, but you should still always try to store only the data in the cloud that absolutely must be stored there.
  1. Open the iCloud.com page in your browser and log in with your Apple credentials. The data you delete directly on the website will be completely removed in any case.
  2. Now you can choose from which area you want to delete iCloud data. To do this, select them by clicking on them. If you want to delete multiple documents, you can use "Ctrl" to select multiple documents at once.
  3. Now you need to click on the trash icon and then confirm the deletion.
  4. Attention, there is no recycle bin function. That means, everything you delete will be permanently removed from the cloud.
