Zoom: Test the camera - here's how to do it

Zoom is a platform where you can participate in video conferences and meetings not only in your home office. For this, Zoom is equipped with some features that simplify working from home. For optimal use, therefore, an Internet-enabled device as well as a webcam and microphone are necessary.

How to test your camera in Zoom

A camera is almost essential for participating in a video conference at Zoom. It is the only way you can actively participate and communicate optimally with the other participants. If you are not sure whether your camera will work, you can test it before or during the meeting to fix any problems in time.

Before the meeting

1. The first thing you need to do is log in to Zoom with your credentials.
2. Then click on your profile picture, which is located next to the search bar.
3. There you select the "Settings".
4. Now select the option "Video".
5. Thereupon you will be shown a preview of the respective camera.
6. If this is not the right camera, then you also have the option here to select another.

Während des Meetings

1. Während eines Meetings können Sie die Kamera über den Pfeil testen, der sich neben dem Symbol für „Video starten/Video beenden“ befindet.
2. Dort werden Ihnen die jeweiligen Einstellungen Ihrer Kamera angezeigt.
3. Wird Ihnen allerdings nichts angezeigt, dann können Sie über das Dropdown-Menü auch eine andere Kamera auswählen.
