Android 9: Expand memory - how to do it
In some Android devices, the memory can be expanded. But especially with newer smartphone models, this is no longer possible, as the RAM is installed with the motherboard. If manual installation is still possible on your device, the process is quite easy.
How is the working memory expanded?
How the working memory is expanded on Android varies from device to device. In some cases, the smartphone does not need to be disassembled to expand RAM. Then you can stick to the following ways to expand memory:- There is an option to use an SD card as additional RAM. So you don't have to open your device to install the RAM.
- To do this, download and install Partiton Wizard.
- Connect your device to your PC and launch the program.
- Now select the SD card in Partition Wizard and delete all partitions. After that, select the card in the manager, right-click and select "Create".
- Now you need to determine how much memory you want to have left on the hard drive. It's best to take the card size minus one GB. So for an 8GB card, that's 7GB.
