You can expand the memory of your Android 9 device with an SD card. In Android 9, it is also possible to integrate the SD card as internal storage and thus install apps on it. However, you have to keep a few points in mind.

If the memory on your Android 9 device is not enough, you can expand it with an SD card. Then you can save videos, pictures and other content from your smartphone directly to it.

1. For most Android devices, you will need a microSD card.
2. The card is placed in the designated slot in the device. In some cases, it is necessary to convert the SD card to "extFat" format beforehand so that it is recognized by your smartphone. When formatting, all data on the SD card will be lost. Therefore, transfer them to your PC beforehand.
3. You can also move some apps to the SD card. However, this is not possible with every application.
4. Since Android 9 "Pie", it is possible to integrate the SD card as internal memory. The card can subsequently no longer be addressed individually, as it is considered internal memory by the smartphone. The disadvantage of this process is that the data is lost if the SD card is damaged.
